Val, 61st Birthday Party
I had originally booked Soulshine for my 60th birthday party in 2020 but obviously the pandemic put paid to that and the event was postponed for a year. Throughout this stressful extended booking period James was calm, helpful, reassuring and a total pleasure to deal with; all my questions and concerns were answered promptly.I had decided that I wanted to celebrate my birthday by dancing the night away and so I had researched bands on the internet. I had chosen Soulshine because, despite never having seen them live, their video told me all I needed to know – so I booked them immediately and hoped they would deliver a great evening. On the night of my party we arrived early, just in time to hear the end of the sound check- it was utterly thrilling! I knew then that booking all 10 band members was the very best decision I could possibly have made. I simply cannot stress enough just how absolutely AMAZING the band were. The 3 vocalists were astounding and hugely engaging and the musicians were absolutely fabulous. Every single party guest raved about the quality of the music and as one friend said the band was “beyond extraordinary”. The atmosphere was electric, the performances were polished and the delivery was so slick! I was on the dance floor for every minute of all three sets and the whole evening was utterly joyful. I cannot tell you how happy I was to have chosen Soulshine, it’s one of the best decisions I have ever made! I really cannot praise them highly enough. If you love great live music and want to have the best possible time then do not hesitate for a moment – book them now!

We saw Soulshine Band perform at a friends wedding and thought they were amazing. As soon as we were organising our own party, we knew we had to have them play for us. We were not disappointed. They were every bit as good as the first time we’d seen them. They are very professional, super friendly and great musicians. We love the style of their music, but it’s their energy that really hits you. Every member of the band gives it their all and you really feel like they are enjoying their performance. The female vocalist has got so much energy. She makes her performance really personal to you and is on the dance floor with you….amazing! We didn’t stop dancing all night!

I let Dom have sole pick/control of the music etc for our day as that is his thing and when he showed me the videos of you guys I knew you would be amazing but nothing prepared me for how incredible you truly were!
I loved every minute of your sets; you really made sure we all had the best time so thank you! You would not believe the amount of comments and compliments we have had about you guys- we still keep getting sent videos and every single one just takes us back to how good it was!
Please pass on my thanks to all the band, not just for your amazing music and performances on Saturday but for being so understanding and amazing throughout our various cancellations & rescheduling along the way! Thank you also for letting Dom borrow your stage etc for his DJ set- he was completely in his element and it was wonderful to see!

We just wanted to say thank you again, it’s really difficult choosing a wedding band as you can’t see people live… your video looked good but although it was great speaking to you before to be honest it still seemed like a little bit of a gamble before hand…. The whole band were superb, slick and professional. Sasha’s vocals outstanding and the way she works the crowd is just incredible. Loved being able to perform ‘Never too Much’ with you even at the last minute. You truly are the perfect band to get a party started but not so good at getting it finished!! I wanted to write and express our thanks and gratitude for the your performance at our wedding on 9th March. When we started looking for a band to perform at our wedding we looked at so many different websites and pages, listened to so many audio clip…but we kept being drawn back to Soulshine Band. I’m so glad we were as we could not have wished for anything better, you literally exceeded our expectations in every area possible. When we saw you all turn up we knew we’d made the right choice as you looked stunning, but then a little later Kerry and I were outside with the photographer and we could hear you sound checking – the photographer turned round and said that he could see/hear where we’d invested in the wedding! He hears a lot of bands, as you can imagine, and from that one sound check he said that he could tell you were worth the money we’d spent! Thank you so much for being as accommodating as you were with the set up arrangements. The talent that you all possess as musicians/vocalists is incredible. I’m sure you know when you’ve ‘got’ the room at any performance, but I can’t remember seeing a point when the dancefloor was less than full. That has to be the ultimate accolade. The same also goes for the DJ as he more than kept things ticking over and the crowd hot whilst you were on a break and then finished the night off perfectly – I don’t think he wanted to stop! I honestly cannot thank you enough James, and ask that you pass our thanks on to the other band members. I don’t think I was able to get to you on the night to say thank you, and for that I apologise, but I am genuinely speechless as to what a good night we had. It was the perfect celebration of our day – thank you.

Soulshine Band played at our wedding in the Bodleian Library, Oxford. They had two sensational vocalists who filled the dance floor the whole night long, carrying off an amazing repertoire of funk, soul, disco and some contemporary chart pieces. The band’s leader James was endlessly helpful and patient in the lead-up to our big day and no request for too big. The DJ (Russell) curated three brilliant sets when the band wasn’t playing and really helped us decide on song choices in the weeks leading up to the event. We couldn’t have been happier with them and would highly recommend!

Soulshine band were recommended to us and we were so glad we decided to book them for our wedding. They were outstanding. From the first dance till midnight they kept our guests on the dance floor playing a brilliant selection of new and classic music. We were incredibly lucky to have Soulshine perform at our wedding. They brought so much genuine energy to the evening as well as playing three incredible sets. Many thanks for all your efforts in arranging Soulshine Band’s appearance. They were really good and such nice folk – very courteous and generally nice peeps. I feel guilty now sending them out on the streets to get food! ;o) We could have done with another hour of their set – the time flew by and what with running about 15 minutes behind schedule and ‘Jess’ performing, their time was all too brief. Soulshine joined us for our perfect wedding day in at Elmore court. This was the part of the day which we hoped would add a real wow factor to our wedding. We were not disappointed! The band played three flawless sets, with Sasha and the band getting the dance floor moving and really entertaining the guests. The band were fun and energetic and we were able to chose a number of our favourite tunes to boogie the night away to. My husband and I are soooo glad that we chose the Soulshine to be our evening entertainment at our wedding. They sang our first dance song amazingly making it a truly special memory. We had so many compliments from our guests about the band, how they sang a great range of songs that got everyone on the dance floor. The Soulshine Band were amazing, and they made the evening the incredible party that it was! They brought a great, lively atmosphere, with Sasha singing and dancing through the dancefloor, getting everyone involved. As for the band, 5 stars is not enough!! Excellent vocals and energy. Really kept our guests entertained with a varied playlist and great interaction. Punctual, professional and accommodating as we were a bit late and just a wonderful performance. We would definitely recommend this band for fun loving soul shaking funky people. Dear Sasha and the band, Just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you for your role in our amazing wedding last weekend. More people than I can count told me that it was the best band they had ever seen at a wedding. All generations had a blast dancing along to the tunes, which is something we really wanted to achieve. Also, thanks so much for being patient and letting us go over time a little at the end. People were just having such a good time (mainly because the band music had been so happy-making) that no one was in any mood to stop. The sign of a great party! We ended up dancing round the camp fire in the field till the wee hours of the morning. Chris and I just got back from our mini-moon in Brighton – I haven’t managed to speak to my parents yet to check the payment went through fine so just let me know. Once again, thanks a million and I will be singing your praises whenever the topic of wedding bands come up with people in the future! Love Sophie and Chris x

I have never seen our guys dance so much.Sasha has an incredible voice and is a great performer. She Interacted with the crowd so well and I even ended up dancing a lot, which made my wife happy as that’s rare.The band have a great grooving sound and I hope we have another large event someday so we can book you again.

Soulshine were fantastic at out wedding and I cannot recommend them highly enough. The process of booking was easy and straightforward. The band were accommodating and learnt some new songs for us. They were punctual and really just set themselves up and got on with raising the roof! A real focal point of the evening for our special day. I think they are going to get several bookings from guests at our wedding who loved their energy, range and ability to fill our dance floor. We had such a brilliant time last night and the band completely hit the spot. The lounge music during dinner set the mood perfectly, and the party afterwards was amazing! it was great to see so many people dancing – even the older ones! The only sadness was having to bring it all to an end! We’ll definitely be hiring you again next year!
